On Friday, March 16th, the companies of Guggenheim Intrapresæ and the Institutional Patrons of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection gathered in a wonderful location, the historic Orsoni glass furnace.
After an initial visit to the kiln led by the president Riccardo Bisazza, during which members had the chance to observe the institution’s skilful glass working techniques, the first annual meeting of the company members started in the “colour library”, where the numerous colour matrices of the furnace are collected.
The director Karole Vail exposed the museum’s performance during 2017 and presented the exhibition program for the next few months. After her speech, the museum staff from different departments gave some specific information about the Collection activities that will take place this year.
Significant was the final phase of the meeting, during which the companies shared their future initiatives and projects of social responsibility, solidarity and support of culture.
In the afternoon, the program continued at the PGC, where the representatives of the companies visited the exhibition Marino Marini. Visual Passions. They later met the conservator Luciano Pensabene in his laboratory to see the conservation progress of the masterpiece by Jackson Pollock, Eyes in the Heat (1946).
