Villa Della Torre Allegrini won the award “Best of Wine Tourism 2018” in the “Arts and Culture” category that celebrates innovation and excellence in wine tourism. The Camera di Commercio of Verona chose the Villa, an extraordinary example of Renascence architecture by Giulio Romano, from 49 realities connected with this particular sector.
The award ceremony took place in Verona during the Wine Days. In that occasion the city of Losanna became a member of the Great Wine Capitals, an international network of cities famous for their wine district like Adelaide, South Australia, Bilbao, Roja, Bordeaux, Mainz, Rheinhessen, Mendoza, Porto, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Valparaiso, Casablanca Valley and, obviously, Verona.
The reasons that led the commission’s decision consist of appreciating how the Allegrini’s family restored the Villa creating a place where enogastronomic tourists and intellectuals can share beauty, history and culture maintaining a strong relationship with the local community. A reference point for the Italian wine lovers and people, which are particularly keen on Arts and Culture as well.
