The collection Sigari d’Autore of Manifatture Sigari Toscani is completed with another big name of the Italian tradition, the composer and orchestra conductor Pietro Mascagni. After the cigars dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi, Mario Soldati and Amedeo Modigliani, a new cigar celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the author of Cavalleria Rusticana, a passionate admirer of Tuscan cigars like the others.
To pay tribute to the artist from Livorno, one of the most beloved personality between XIX and XX century, Manifatture Sigari Toscani presented in Rome, in the picturesque Palazzo Barberini, the new limited edition cigar with a musical evening directed by Denis Krief, with the voice of Anna Caterina Antonacci and the piano of Francesco Libetta: an initiative to support and promote the Italian culture and the lifestyle, which was attended by personalities from the institutional, political and cultural Italian world.
“Mascagni is probably the artist who has been linked to the Italian cigar more than any other. It was always in his hands, during rehearsals and performances, at home, in the cafes of Livorno when he played cards”, said Gaetano Maccaferri, president of the group. “A good Tuscan cigar is always a source of good inspirations” was a motto of the composer.
